1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the HUMA API, dashboard, or any HUMA service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using HUMA on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these Terms.
2. Use of the API
You may use HUMA to verify the humanity of your users within your applications. You may not use HUMA to: (a) build a competing human verification service, (b) reverse-engineer HUMA's scoring algorithms, (c) abuse the API in ways that degrade service for other users, or (d) verify users without their knowledge for deceptive purposes.
3. API key security
Your API key is your responsibility. Do not expose it in client-side code, public repositories, or share it with untrusted parties. You are responsible for all API calls made with your key. If you suspect your key is compromised, regenerate it immediately from your dashboard.
4. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Your plan includes a monthly verification limit. Overages are not charged — instead, API calls return a 429 error once your limit is reached. You can upgrade at any time. Downgrading takes effect at the next billing cycle. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact team@humaverify.com.
5. Uptime and SLA
We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it. HUMA is not liable for losses caused by downtime. We recommend implementing graceful fallbacks in case the API is unreachable (e.g., allow the action to proceed with a logged warning).
6. Limitation of liability
HUMA is provided "as is." We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. We'll notify you by email for material changes. Continued use of HUMA after changes constitutes acceptance.
